Keep Your Feet Forever Young!
Granted, for a woman to keep her feet forever young is a challenge. What with running around all day in womens boots and shoes with stratospheric heels, feet take a beating. But there are things that person can do to keep their feet forever young.
If the feet are swollen, and they will be, add a handful of Epsom salts to a bowl of warm water. Then, fill a bowl with cool water. Soak the feet in each bowl for a few of minutes and watch the puffiness depart. Dry the feet thoroughly afterwards.
Another soothing treatment for the feet is to steep two tea bags in half a litre of boiled water for fifteen minutes, add two litres of cool water and soak the feet for 20 minutes. The tea changes the feet’s pH levels and discourages bacteria.
Don’t wear the same pair of shoes or boots two days in a row. It takes them 24 hours to dry out and damp boots and shoes encourage fungi and veruccas.
The highest heels shouldn’t be worn for more than two or three hours at a stretch. The heights of the shoes should be varied and stilettos just shouldn’t be worn all the time.
Shop for shoes late in the day, as the feet have grown a bit since the morning.
Don’t wear shoes at home. Why? They only track dirt all over the house and going barefoot is delicious. However, when staying in a hotel, it’s best to wear slippers.
Cut the toenails straight across, but don’t cut them too short. Don’t try and cut them all at once, which might make them split. Cut in tiny snips. Then, file the nails so that they’re slightly rounded, put those foam rubber separators between the toes and apply base coat, then polish. After the polish is dry, moisturize the feet with body lotion.
